Summer 2009
We are all gearing up for a change in the way we purchase our clothing. Most of us have little to spend and it is therefore essential to make a carefully considered choice.
Boutique Ethique on line will be offering a’ try it and see’ policy with the summer pieces. Samples can be requested to try on at home and if the fit is perfect an order can then be placed.
In 2009 we will feature a long forgotten technique called trapunto. A quilted design which is simple an elegant.
The fabrics used are:
- Muga silk, naturally a rich gold colour, avoiding the need for dying.
- Wild silk organza, which takes our natural dyes beautifully.
- Organic linen which can dressed up or down.
- Pina cloth, a sheer and luxurious fabric from pineapple fibre.
