Winter 2008

Inspiration for this collection comes from the geometric, linear designs of Russian Constructivists and the sumptuous floral undulations and curves found in the Art Nouveau period. The designs I have created are easy to wear, but give off bold statements on timeless quality of style, luxury and craftsmanship, with ethical and environmental practices.
Being particularly passionate about using UK based industries, I am once again using organic Ardanlanish Wool, woven in the Isle of Mull in Scotland. The fabrics used this time are particularly special , not only are they exquisite and luxurious, they are the first to be fully certified by the Soil Association. The quality of the fabric jumps out at you, and of course, keeps you magnificently warm!
The peace silk used is naturally dyed with logwood and brazilwood, giving soft purple and pink tones. With each Collection I introduce a new motif for our block prints, this season I have created a stylised peacock feather, an icon of the Art Nouveau Aesthetics being linked to decadence.
